The California Trustline Registry A note to Parents in need of crisis intervention regarding the California Trustline Registry: You can never do too much to see that your child is safe. Especially when choosing and adolescent crisis intervention agency. Trustline is the California registry of employee's within the industry who have cleared a background screening. All employees listed with the trustline have been cleared through a fingerprint check of records at the California Department of Justice. This means they have no disqualifying criminal or substantiated child abuse reports in California. All RDAS Lead Transition Mediators are background checked and fingerprinted. Those RDAS Lead Transition Mediators working in California are registered with the California Trustline Registry as well. Parents can check to see if any agent from any crisis intervention company is registered on the Trustline by calling 1-800-822-8490 and giving the company's full name and assigned agent's drivers license number or other approved identification. If an agency's employees are not registered with the Trustline and or sufficiently screened you risk not having the best qualified agent transporting/escorting your child. Trustline helps to ensure the safety of your child. A Trustline clearance is the minimal qualification a caregiver should provide, in addition to experience with adolescents, a warm and caring manner, and a commitment to ensuring your child's safety and welfare. Trustline uses the most up to date and detailed databases at the California Department of Justice and the FBI to protect children. Trustline has screened out significant numbers of individuals with criminal records who have applied to the registry, which would create an undesirable match for working with adolescents. If an agency that you are potentially going to hire is insulted that you've asked about their participation in the Trustline program or fails to see the importance of participating in Trustline. You seriously need to question whether the agency's top priority is with the safety and welfare of your child. |
