| Semina D. is an upstate New York transplant from the Bronx. She has over 10 years experience
working with adolescents and adults in psychological settings. She received her BA and MA in Law and Psychology from
John Jay College of Criminal Justice at the City University of New York. While in school, she completed two internships
counseling at-risk teens, abused children and ex-prisoners. Semina is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in clinical
psychology. It is Semina's work with adolescents that inspires her dissertation research, future ambitions and current work.
She has not only extensive clinical insight to today's teens and issues but she has been in the same shoes as many of
the very adolescents she works with. Her own experience going to a facility at the age of 14 was so rewarding,
that she hopes to reciprocate to other teens by helping the transition in their journey be as positive as possible.
Semina recently started her own private practice and on the weekends, works with an under-privileged youth mentoring organization.
