Nathan has been working in the mental health and child services field for over six years now originally working in adventure therapy then later recreation therapy. During this time he has worked with at risk youth, adjudicated and court appointed youth, gang related youth and adults and children with severe emotional trauma in South Africa, New Zealand and throughout the US. Nathan's passion lies in empowering people to recognize their choices and behaviors. Focusing on finding new ways to better their lives through the decisions they make. In addition to working with Right Direction Nathan also works in wilderness therapy as a lead instructor and has done so for two years now. He is currently returning to school to receive a Master's degree in Social Work. Nathan is originally from the Bronx NY and now currently resides in Utah, which is absolutely nothing like the Bronx! When not at work he can be found playing his bass guitar or playing ultimate frisbee and attempting to make it to as many tournaments as possible. His favorite being the Maui hat draw in Hawaii. What few people know about Nathan is that he is an enormous comic book nerd and has been since the age of eight. Truth be told he only sought out a career in the mental health and child services field because it is the closest thing he has found to being an actual costumed hero/vigilante. Nathan is married to an incredible and patient woman who has absolutely no interest in comic books, which he has recently come to accept. He loves the mountains of Utah and misses real pizza desperately.
