| Larry started working for Right Direction in
early 2002. Working as a Transition Mediator, Larry has transported
over 300 adolescents. With 5 children himself, 1 in her third
year of college at California State University, Chico, another
in her first year of college at Penn State University, his 6 year
old son in his first year of school, and 4 year old twin girls
just having a ball at home, he has dedicated his life to helping
others. “The most important experience I have in qualifying
me and enabling me to help all of you comes from raising children
myself”. Larry served 10 years in the United States Coast
Guard performing both Search and Rescue and Law Enforcement. He
has 19 years experience in Martial Arts, and has taught hundreds
of Police Officers (including the DEA) to not only defend themselves,
but to verbally de-escalate almost any situation. Larry believes
that integrity, respect, compassion, honesty, and proper communication
are key elements in the mediation of both adults and adolescents.
“We are here to help your children and/or family members
through this situation, as peacefully and as safe as possible.”
Larry did take a 2 year leave of absence from this company to
develop a business plan for a program of his own to further help
adolescent girls who are struggling with the challenges that our
youth face in today’s fast paced world. He came back in
December of 2006, teaming up with Brian Shepherd, and together,
plan on not only opening this program, but continuing to maintain
this fantastic company. “I look forward to helping each
and every one of you that tour our website and are in need of
our services. I will be glad to speak with you, give you advice,
and just simply take some time to make you feel a little more
comfortable. We all have a very bright future, so let’s
start today”.
