RIGHT DIRECTION is a company that offers crisis intervention services to at-risk adults and adolescents. In most all cases we transport them to treatment programs around the country. We are looking for responsible individuals with a flexible schedule looking for a supplemental income perhaps leading to full-time work. You must have experience with and interest in working with at-rist adolescents and adults who are in need of life changing assistance. You will also need to do a considerable amount of traveling throughout the course of your employment.

JOB TITLE: TRANSITION MEDIATOR TRAINEE

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Acting as a "Transition mediator" you will perform intervention services (including transport escort) for at -risk adolescents and adults from one location to another (typically from their home to a treatment program). Safety is the number one concern. Preparing the adult or adolescent mentally and emotionally for the expectations and challenges of the specific program they will be going to. Patience, active listening and compassionate honesty are all skills that must be utilized when dealing with parents, families and their loved ones. Transition Mediators do not have to accept all jobs that are presented to them. However, Since all cases are received by Right Direction with little notice Transition Mediators need to have a flexible schedule and be willing to work irregular hours.

REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum age of 21. 1 year experience working/studying with adults or adolescents in a constructive environment. Clearance thru California Trustline Registry (once-hired). Athletically inclined / physically fit. American Red Cross First Aid and CPR (annually, once hired). Pass a Federal ID Background check with finger printing.
