| Jennifer recently graduated with honors from California State University Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She is currently working on her Masters of Science degree in Criminal Justice at California State University Long Beach where she is also working as a Research Assistant studying state mandated conditions of parole. Additionally, she is working as a Victims Advocate for domestic/family violence victims. As a victim advocate, Jennifer provides on site crisis intervention, listens to survivors and provides support, resources and information. This helps the victims to understand the court process, cycle of domestic violence, and potential short and long-term options for handling the violence and problems in their lives. Prior to this, she served as an intern at Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall working with the wards on enhancing their academic, communication, motivation and interpersonal skills in order to better them upon their release and decrease the chance of readmission into state custody. Jennifer is highly educated, trained, and experienced with working in highly stressful situations involving adults and adolescents. Her main motivation is knowing that she is helping to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
