Daryl grew up on the West side of Chicago and is a Minister at Greater St. John Bible Church, under the leadership of Pastor Ira J. Acree. Daryl has seven beautiful children. He attended Currie Metropolitan High School of Performing Arts, in which he graduated with honors and received a Music Scholarship to Southern University A&M in Battenrudge, Mississippi. While attending the University, Daryl received his Associates Degree in Music and Psychology. Daryl’s involvement with youth began at his home church where he discovered that a few teens were headed down the road towards destruction so he intervened. Daryl shared his experience of the street life, which helped the teens turn their life around by changing their reasons for making their poor decisions. He is currently a mentor for the church youth ministry. Daryl volunteers two Sundays of the month to talk with the children in the children church ministry. Daryl has five years experience in helping people who are dealing with drug addictions and criminal behavior. Daryl is currently employed with the Cook County Sheriff Department and has been in Law Enforcement for over twenty years. Daryl served as the Lieutenant for the Illinois Police Reserve Unit for five years as well. He has also done security for the Democrat Party Convention as well as personal security for hip-hop celebrities such as Ja’Rue, Queen Latifah, Frankie Beverly & Maze, and many others. Daryl has also done security for the Mexican President while he was in Illinois.
