Sarah R. Interventionist
Sarah has a wide spectrum of training and certifications in the field of counseling and emergency response. She worked two years as an Emergency Medical Technician for a 911 service, is currently an active member of her Community Emergency Response Team, and has eight years of training and field experience in crisis response. Sarah has been working with teenagers formally and informally for the past 10 years. After graduating from Columbia International University in South Carolina, she and her husband lived in Costa Rica for one year studying Spanish in a language immersion program. While there, Sarah volunteered in an impoverished refugee settlement where her passion for youth on the edge began to ignite. Upon returning to the United States, she began her professional career in North Carolina with at-risk teens at a boarding school where she served as a Residential Advisor and the Associate Director of Counseling. Most recently, Sarah has worked on an intensive in-home team, provided community support, and case management for adults and adolescents with addictions. Sarah is increasingly passionate about the people with which she works. She desires that each see a pure glimpse of his or her full potential, inspiring a new season of life.
