Marcia H. Interventionist
Marcia is from Salt Lake City, Utah and is currently majoring in Human Services at the University of Phoenix, where she is a senior. She plans to finish her Bachelor's degree and move straight into her Master's program studying to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. Marcia has been working in the field of social work for 16 years now. She started working with at-risk youth and quickly found it came very natural to her. She started at the bottom, working as-needed shifts for a Utah treatment facility and worked her way up to supervisor. Marcia then transitioned over to working with adults with substance abuse/personality disorders. She was a case manager and also taught groups for the CATS program, working inside the Adult Correction Facility and also doing their outpatient care as well. While she was there, Marcia was selected, along with one other case manager, to speak at the National Case Manager's Conference in Utah. She currently still works with adults struggling with substance abuse issues, helping them to reunite with their children and find a better way of life. During her free time, Marcia stays active by getting outside into Utah's beautiful landscape. She enjoys trail running, mountain biking, camping, and boating.
