Interventionists
Kristen M. Interventionist
Kristen graduated with honors from California State University Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. She is currently working on her Masters of Science degree in Criminal Justice at California State University Long Beach. Kristen has been working as an Interventionist for three years and is empathetic toward every adolescent that she meets. Her years of studying Criminology have afforded her the knowledge to communicate effectively with at-risk adolescents and adults in high stress situations.
Kristen also has experience working with chronically homeless individuals; she interviewed 157 people asking to hear their stories of life on the street. The majority of them are on probation or parole, and reported that they struggle everyday to become active members in society. Additionally, she served as an intern at the Central Juvenile Hall in Los Angeles, California. She worked with inmates on enhancing their academic and interpersonal skills in effort to decrease recidivism rates upon their release.
Kristen is highly educated, trained, and experienced with working in highly stressful situations involving adults and adolescents. She states that there is nothing more rewarding than meeting an individual that can embrace a helping hand; someone who is willing to strengthen their character by believing that they can make the right choices, even when no one is watching.
