Chris T. Interventionist
Chris Chris grew up in the Borough of Queens, New York City, and lived there in various towns until the age of 36. He attended Catholic High School, went on to Community College, and then entered the New York City Police Academy. He was trained as an E.M.T. and a P.A.D.I. certified Rescue Diver and holds a certificate in drowning homicide investigation. While a N.Y.P.D. Police Officer, Chris had an interesting career. He was a member of the N.Y.P.D. Marching Band and performed at the 1996 World Festival of Police Concert Bands in Tokyo, Japan. Chris has played the tenor saxophone since the age of 12. Also, while working in Manhattan, he was assigned to numerous Diplomatic Security Details guarding several important heads of state including the Israeli Prime Minister, the Emperor of Japan, and Princess Diana. After the terrorist attack on 9-11, Chris was assigned as the Inter-Agency Liaison for the N.Y.P.D., reporting all threats against the United States that are made known to the N.Y.P.D. to the other federal and state agencies. Towards the end of his Police career, he assisted in the capture of a 450-pound Bengal Tiger in a N.Y.C. housing development and drove the tiger to the N.Y.C. Center for Animal Care and Control in a Police Department box truck with all the armed resources of the department in tow. Now retired, Chris and his wife, Laura, do a lot of traveling. Chris has been to 14 countries on three continents and 17 U.S. cities. Chris' favorite things to do are spending a night out with his wife, Laura, and camping with his two sons, ages 10 and 14. Chris and his boys have been to eight National Parks together.
