Carey S. Interventionist
Carey has worked with troubled youth in a variety of situations from adventure camps, wilderness therapy programs, alternative day treatment schools to residential treatment programs. He is an avid hiker and climber, has visited almost every U.S. National Park, and has traveled outside the country some as well. Carey holds a BA in English and found himself working with young people through his passion for outdoors when he began professionally guiding after college. Guiding soon led to working in Wilderness Therapy and later, education in an alternative school.
Carey has many interests aside from the outdoors including art, graphic design, writing, and guitar. These, along with an approachable attitude, help him connect with clients. He is also a currently certified Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and a former EMT. After five years of living in the mountains of western North Carolina, he has recently relocated to Northern Colorado and likes to spend as much of his spare time in the Rockies as possible.
